Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Group

This group is for adolescents ages 13 – 18. This group serves as a safe and nurturing environment where teens can feel free to express themselves. It also serves to help develop appropriate coping skills and positive self-esteem. This group will provide resources so that they may be able to actualize goals. The duration of this group is 8 weeks. If interested, please contact us for more information.

Managing Anger Problems (MAP) Group

This group is for children who maintain difficulty controlling their anger. Typically, children in this group suffer from anger outbursts and can be physically aggressive to others. The purpose of this group is to provide effective coping and anger management skills for kids. Children in the group are taught skills needed to control their anger, develop appropriate socialization skills, and to recognize the significance of their negative consequences. The skills learned are age-appropriate and practical. Children 6 to 12 are welcome to attend.

Careerbuilder (Vocational) Group

This group is for adolescents who need assistance in obtaining their career goals. In addition to aiding teens with finding employment, they are also taught job protocol and etiquette. This group is also concerned with assisting teens with actualizing their career goals. Resume writing, job interview preparation, and career goals are also reviewed. This group is for teenagers ages 15 to 19. These groups are offered at selected schools and in the community.
